North Canton and Jackson Coming Together To Kick Off 2024 St. Baldrick’s Campaign
The North Canton and Jackson school districts will officially kick off their 2024 St. Baldrick’s campaigns before tonight’s boys varsity basketball game between the two schools this evening at Jackson High School. There will be a ceremony to recognize childhood cancer survivors and to honor those who passed away from childhood cancer between the Junior Varsity and Varsity Boys games at approximately 6:30 PM.
The St. Baldrick’s Foundation is a volunteer and donor powered charity committed to supporting the most promising research to find cures for childhood cancers and give survivors long and healthy lives. Since 2005, the St. Baldrick’s Foundation has raised $340 million to fund 1,803 research grants in 31 countries, with three current grants being funded in Cincinnati, two in Columbus, and two in Cleveland. The Jackson and North Canton school districts collectively raised $220,962 last year and hope to surpass that total this year.
