Entries for the Little Art Gallery’s 81st Annual May Show are being accepted.

 

NORTH CANTON, Ohio, February 8, 2024 – The Little Art Gallery of the North Canton Public Library has released the call for entries for the 81st Annual May Show. The call is open to any artist at least 16 years of age living or working in Stark County. All works submitted must be original, recent (within the past three years) and not previously exhibited in a Little Art Gallery show. With an entry deadline of March 31, 2024, all media will be accepted.

 

The 2024 May Show opens April 29 and will be on display in the gallery through June 29. The Friends of the Little Art Gallery (FLAG) will sponsor awards for Best in Show, Second Place, Third Place and People’s Choice. The Little Art Gallery is honored to showcase the talents of these local artists. 

 81st Annual May Show calendar

 Submission deadline: March 31 (March 31 is a Sunday; allowing for email entries only that day.)

• Email notification to artists: April 14
• Delivery of accepted work: April 15 between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. and April 16 between 5 and 7 p.m.  
• Exhibition: April 29 through June 29
• Opening Reception: April 28 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. 
• Pick-up of exhibited work: July 1 between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. and July 2 between 5 and 7 p.m.  

 

Paper Call for Entries forms are available in the Gallery or may be printed from the Library’s website at ncantonlibrary.org. The 2024 entry fee is $15 per piece submitted, with a limit of four submissions per artist. Images of artwork must be submitted by digital photography in jpeg format for the jurying process.
