Community Memorial Day Activities Planned at Green
UPDATE: Community Memorial Day Activities
Due to the weather forecast of potential rain and storms, the following location changes have been made for the City of Green's Memorial Day activities. All times remain the same; however, the pancake breakfast, ceremony and picnic are being moved indoors to Queen of Heaven Parish Life Center, 1800 Steese Road.
Memorial Day Activities Include:
- Pancake Breakfast. LOCATION CHANGE: Queen of Heaven Parish Life Center. Free breakfast will be served from 7 am to 10 am. Donations accepted to benefit Furnace Street Mission Safety Forces Support Center.
- Annual Memorial Day Parade -- On Monday morning, City officials will determine if the parade is cancelled or still planned for 10 am. See parade map below. Check the City's website or social media pages for an update on the parade after 7:30 am on Monday, May 27.
- Memorial Day Ceremony LOCATION CHANGE: Queen of Heaven Parish Life Center, 1800 Steese Road at 12 pm. The ceremony honors and remembers our Nation's fallen heroes as well as recognizes two local veterans.
- Community Picnic and Car Show LOCATION CHANGE: Queen of Heaven Parish Life Center, 1800 Steese Road begins immediately after the Memorial Day Ceremony. Lunch is free. The car show is at the John Torok Center and Park and concludes at 3 pm, if not cancelled due to rain.

Join the community on Memorial Day, Monday, May 27 to honor and remember our Nation's bravest. The City of Green is proud to host a series of events to honor the many heroes who have served our nation.
Memorial Day Activities Include:
- Pancake Breakfast at Fire Station #1, 4200 Massillon Road. Free breakfast will be served from 7 am to 10 am. Donations accepted to benefit Furnace Street Mission Safety Forces Support Center.
- Annual Memorial Day Parade steps off at 10 am from Green High school, see map below. If your business or organization is interested in being in the parade, please contact our parks division at 330-896-6621 before May 24.
- Memorial Day Ceremony at the Green Veterans Park at 12 pm. The ceremony honors and remembers our Nation's fallen heroes as well as recognizes two local veterans.
- Community Picnic and Car Show begins immediately after the Memorial Day Ceremony at the John Torok Community Center. The picnic includes a free lunch. The car show concludes at 3 pm.
