Make a Difference This Holiday Season with Stark Library |
The holidays can be a challenging time for many in our community. From those in need of everyday essentials to those seeking a little extra warmth and care, Stark Library locations are stepping up to make a difference. Warm Up America! at Perry Sippo Branch Looking to give a handmade gift filled with love? The Perry Sippo Branch is partnering with Warm Up America! a non-profit organization dedicated to providing warm items to those in need. They are accepting handmade donations, including Finished blankets (any size), Washcloths and hand towels, Plushies, Baby and children’s clothes, Market/Tote Bags, Bars of soap (please include brand-new, wrapped soap). Even small contributions make a big impact! If a full blanket feels like too much, consider creating 7" x 9" knit or crochet sections that volunteers can stitch together into finished blankets. Visit the Perry Sippo Branch for more details on how to get involved. The Giving Tree at DeHoff Memorial Branch The DeHoff Memorial Branch continues its yearly tradition of the Giving Tree. This special tree is filled with hats, gloves, scarves, and other winter apparel donated by the branch’s Knitting Club and the local community. These items are free for anyone in need to take, ensuring they stay warm this winter. |
