Peach Cobbler Factory opens in Belden Village area

There is a new dessert in town. OK, it is more like several desserts, and they can all be found at the newly opened Peach Cobble Factory at 4418 Belden Village St. NW in Canton.

The new business has already generated a lot of attention on social media since the owners started to remodel the location.

It held a ribbon cutting with the Canton Regional Chamber of Commerce on April 4th and then held a grand opening on April 5th with long lines of people waiting to try the many dessert offerings.

The eatery is owned and operated by Jamie and Larry Middaugh from Columbus, OH, and their daughter and son-in-law, Hillary and Heath Comignahi, who live in Stark County.

The two couples opened the location because they love the area and have family and friends living here.

“I grew up in Tuscarawas County and remember coming to Belden Village to shop when I was younger,” Jamie said.

“We believe there is a good market for our product here and believe people will fall in love with our offerings. We are well-known for our banana pudding and peach cobbler,” she added.

She also mentioned that they love to be involved with the community and plan to donate to local causes.

There were plenty of samples available during the ribbon cutting event with the Chamber. The entire family cut the ribbon with a crowd of people who were Chamber members, local representatives and state-level representatives.

The short list of desserts includes a long list of cobblers and cobbler shakes; banana pudding and pudd-n-shakes; cinnamon rolls, including cobbler stuffed, maple syrup and others; bigger and better cookies and brownies; Belgian waffles; churro stix; and dessert flights.
