MassMu Offers Water-Soluble Oil Still Life Painting Series

The Massillon Museum will offer a Water-Soluble Oil Still Life class beginning on Thursday, October 9, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. for students ages 18 and older. The sessions will continue on October 16, 23, and 30, and November 13 and 20.

Registration is limited and can be completed at MassMu.org/Tickets or by calling 330-833-4061. The class fee ($175 per person or $155 per MassMu member) includes supplies.

Instructor Luciano Fiore’s still life paintings are reminiscent of the Dutch Masters’ style of strong contrasts of values with objects appearing as though mysteriously emerging from shadows. She mastered this style from internationally known painters, including David A. Leffel, in her study in New York City.

Luciano Fiore became a nationally competitive artist, participating in The Oil Painters of America. A former board member of the prestigious American Artist Professional League, she has been a juror of the League’s Grand National Exhibitions. She has conducted workshops in the United States, Canada, and Europe.
