Big News: You Can Now Use “Green, OH” in Your Address!

Green OH Homepage

Great news, Green residents and businesses! 🎉 The U.S. Postal Service has confirmed that you can now use Green, OH as your city in your address—along with your current ZIP code.

While Green doesn’t have a single ZIP code yet, this change is a win for our community identity and a step toward eventually getting one. Mayor Rocco Yeargin encourages everyone to start using Green, OH in mailing addresses right away.

Why it matters:

  • Makes it easier for new businesses and residents to know they’re part of Green.
  • Helps real estate agents and city services connect addresses to our city.
  • Ensures residents don’t miss out on benefits tied to living in Green.

Even with this update, your mail will still arrive if you use the old city name (like Uniontown, Akron, or North Canton) — both are considered valid “dual addresses.”

Next steps for residents and businesses:

  • Start using Green, OH + your ZIP code in your address.
  • Share your support for a single ZIP code by emailing our U.S. Senators or submitting comments at cityofgreen.org/ZIP.

Mayor Yeargin and city officials are continuing efforts to secure a single ZIP code for Green — through the Postal Service and Congress. Your participation strengthens our case!
