Community Collaborates to Decorate MassMu Trees
Representatives of local businesses and organizations have decorated 13 holiday pencil trees for display in Massillon Museum’s lobby.
MassMu hosts a decorating party each year to foster camaraderie, creativity, and an opportunity to showcase community partners as teams decorate trees that are provided by the Museum.
This year, Bailey Platek Group-Cutler Real Estate, Blue Nile Dental Studio, Erie Street Vinyl, Howard Hanna Real Estate Services, Luvih Yoga Studio, Massillon City Schools, Massillon Public Library, Massillon WestStark Chamber of Commerce, Paradigm Shift Brewery LLC, Rohr’s Wine Room, Shearer’s Foods, Tremont Coffee, and TWiLite Café have decorated trees with themes reflecting their businesses and organizations.
“We look festive for the Community Candlelight Walk, MassMu members’ holiday parties, and our day-to-day visitors,” said Alexa Polinori, the Museum’s events and volunteer coordinator, who organized the project. “We appreciate the collaboration of everyone who participated in our tree decorating effort.”
The community’s three-story-tall holiday tree fills the Museum’s front lawn.
In addition to the trees, December visitors will see the Stark County Artists Exhibition; Artwork by Members of the Boys and Girls Club of Massillon; Katy Richards: Fleeting Florals (opens December 13); Small but Mighty: Big Personalities in Local Circus History and the Immel Circus diorama; and more exhibitions. The Museum shop, OHregionalities, is open for holiday shopping during regular Museum hours, and the TWiLite Café in the lobby is open Tuesday through Saturday from 7:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

MassMu will be closed on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve, and New Year’s Day.
