Stark County Hunger Task Force jumps Back into the ‘80s with Turn Back Time: 45 Years of
Fighting Hunger Event

Stark County Hunger Task Force is taking guests back into the 1980s with its upcoming Turn Back
Time: 45 Years of Fighting Hunger event.

Taking place on May 30, 2026 from 7 p.m. –9 p.m. at the Cultural Center for the Arts, this
celebration is an immersive experience where guests can enjoy a silent and live auction, themed
cocktails, photo ops, and 80s flashbacks all around. Guests are encouraged to come dressed in
their best 80s attire for a costume contest, where the winner will take home an exciting prize.

The night doesn’t end there. An exclusive VIP after party will take place at Finney’s Arcade & Parlor
from 9:30 p.m. -11:30 p.m. Guests will be able to indulge in pizza, specialty drinks, $20 in free
gameplay, and more! The small business offers over 40 games, including classics like Pac-Man,
Rampage and Donkey Kong, plus newer favorites like Pokemon.

This event serves as the nonprofit’s official 45th anniversary celebration. Throughout 2026, the
organization will host a series of 1980s-themed events to honor its founding in 1981 and celebrate
45 years of fighting hunger in Stark County.

For four and a half decades, Stark County Hunger Task Force has worked to ensure that no
neighbor goes hungry by supporting a network of food pantries and providing critical resources
throughout the community.
