Akron Bar Foundation opens application process for law student scholarships and local non-profit grants

 

The Akron Bar Foundation, the charitable arm of the Akron Bar Association, has announced the availability of scholarships and grants for 2024-2025. The deadline for all applications is April 1, 2024.

Akron Bar Foundation Scholarship (2024-2025 school year)

For law students who have a financial need, are in good academic standing with their school, have a history of community involvement, have an affiliation with Summit County (live or have lived in, attend(ed) school in, parents are from Summit County, etc.), will be attending a law school in Ohio, and are citizens of the United States. Qualified students will be contacted to arrange an interview which will take place in April. Completed applications should be mailed to The Akron Bar Foundation, Attention:  Deb Poland, Director of Foundation and Community Relations, 57 S. Broadway Street, Akron, Ohio 44308.

 The Law Library Grant

Promotes legal research in the Akron/Summit County area, or other geographic locale as determined by the members of the Akron Bar Foundation Law Library Fund Committee in the exercise of its discretion, or otherwise to assist and/or provide support for legal, educational or literary research or the operation of libraries or other research services, for the legal profession.

 Akron Bar Foundation Grant

The Akron Bar Foundation invites Grant Request Applications from 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations to fund law-related programs or projects that serve the Summit County community. The Foundation strongly encourages community collaboration. Completed applications should be mailed to The Akron Bar Foundation, Attention: Deb Poland, Director of Foundation and Community Relations, 57 S. Broadway Street, Akron, Ohio 44308.

Application forms and instructions regarding Akron Bar Foundation scholarships and grants are available on the Akron Bar Association website at www.akronbar.org.
