TWO PROMOTED TO TOP MANAGEMENT POSTS AT NORTH CANTON LAW FIRM
NORTH CANTON-- Timothy P. Piatt, President and Managing Partner of Macala & Piatt, LLC, has announced the promotions of two persons to top management positions as part of the firm’s growth initiative.
Thomas J. Griffith, a Partner in the law practice, has been named Vice President, and Jeffrey R. Bruno has been named Partner.

“These changes are part of our corporate growth strategy to meet the growing demand for our legal services in the region,” he added. “We are always looking for young attorneys in the Union representation and employee benefits areas.”
Tom Griffith has been practicing law since 1990. He is a graduate of Vanderbilt University (B.A.), University of Kentucky (M.A.) and Case Western Reserve University School of Law (J.D.). His areas of practice include employee benefits/ERISA Law and employment law. Prior to joining Macala & Piatt in 2011, he was in-house counsel and a senior officer of a family-owned legal publishing business, as well as an adjunct professor at a local community college. In his spare time, Tom plays electric bass in a Cleveland area rock/blues band.
Jeff Bruno joined Macala & Piatt as an associate in 2016. He is a graduate of Youngstown State University and The University of Minnesota Law School. His areas of practice include public and private sector labor law, employee benefits/ERISA law and general employment law. During law school he was a Peggy Browning Fellow at the United Steelworkers International Union in Pittsburgh and worked as a law clerk at the National Labor Relations Board-Region 18, and the U.S. Dept. of Justice-Immigration court in Minneapolis.
