The City of North Canton Fire Department rescues stranded deer
The information below was posted on the North Canton Fire Department's Facebook page:
This morning Chief Cramer and Firefighter Fox demonstrated bravery and compassion as they rescued a deer in distress. The animal was found in a pond behind homes on Shiloh Run SE., stuck in icy waters, unable to free itself. Thanks to quick thinking and teamwork, the deer was safely freed. The team spent some time drying and warming the deer they lovingly named Shiloh He has since been released back into its natural habitat. We're proud to serve not just the people of our community but also its wildlife.
