  Stark Parks announces the “Earth Day Every Day” series for 2024

 

In 2023 with the support of volunteers, Stark Parks removed 141 tires, cleared nearly 5,000 pounds of the invasive garlic mustard, collected 3,000 pounds of e-waste and removed over two dump trucks full of waste for clean-up days. 

The “Earth Day Every Day” series kicks off Saturday, April 20th with trail clean-ups at Iron Horse Trail and Esmont Park. 

  • Registration is currently full for Esmont 
  • Volunteers are needed for Iron Horse. 
  • Series events will be held throughout the year including:
    • A garlic mustard clean-up day on May 4th.
    • River cleanup on August 13th.
    • Seed collection and cleanings in October and November.
