Central Catholic High School welcomes Brooke Newsome as the new director of development
Central Catholic High School is pleased to announce the appointment of Brooke Newsome as Director of Development. She is a graduate of Baldwin Wallace University with a Bachelor of Arts in Digital Media & Design with a focus on graphic design and marketing. Newsome brings enthusiasm and experience in marketing, fundraising, and community engagement to her new role.
While at Baldwin Wallace, Newsome distinguished herself as both a student-athlete and leader. She was a four-year member of the Women’s Golf Team, where she was a well-known player. During that time, she supported fundraising efforts, coordinated team media accounts, and represented her peers on the Student Athletic Advisory Committee. She also served as President of Delta Zeta Sorority, where she developed her skills in recruitment, alumni relations, and event planning.
Newsome has built a strong portfolio. She worked with the Hive Design Group and Ratcliffe Growth Practice at Baldwin Wallace, providing design and marketing strategies for clients. She also served as marketing director for the university’s Holiday Gala, one of its largest annual events, coordinating efforts that boosted attendance, donor engagement, and financial support. Her experiences at these organizations have prepared her for the berth of responsibilities in her new role.
“We are excited to welcome Ms. Newsome to our staff,” shared Joe French, president of Stark County Catholic High Schools. She brings a background in community engagement and fundraising, but perhaps most importantly she is someone who genuinely appreciates developing relationships with others which will make her a true asset in her position. She is anxious to share Central Catholic’s story, strengthen donor relationships, and support Central Catholic’s mission of faith, excellence, leadership, and service.”
In her role as Director of Development, Newsome will oversee fundraising initiatives, alumni relations, and community partnership efforts to ensure that Central Catholic continues to thrive and grow for future generations of Crusaders.
